Theater for the New City has announced the upcoming production of a new musical adaptation of Henry Fielding's novel, "Tom Jones," written and composed by John Taylor Thomas (Pride and Prejudice, Oh Pioneers, Return of the Native, and Platinum Taps).
Directing, dramaturgy and additional lyrics and dialogue by playwright/director Lissa Moira (Who Murdered Love, Before God was Invented, TIME IT IS).
With a cast of fourteen extremely gifted actor/singer/dancer “Tom Jones” promises to be a raunchy, ribald, rambunctious, rollicking, romp done in period dress (18th century) with a soupçon of social commentary.
